What affect does including your postal address have on sales and search engine positions.
Conquering the world in a crowded market place is expensive and out of the realms of most business budgets. The alternative is the local market. How many sales would you expect to get from being #101 in Google for a world wide seach? Would you get more sales from being #1 or #2 on a localised search? In most cases I would expect so. By adding your address to your pages you benefit in two ways: - Search engines will know where you are located and therefore will include you in local searches
- Increased trust by visitors because you aren't affraid of giving your contact information away
- There is also a theory that seach engines like Google will also trust your website more if you provide these details therefore boosting search engine positions.
Lets look at this in reality, we include our address on every page. We are based in Cheshire and therefore would like to be appearing high up in the search engines for key phrases such as: - website designer cheshire
- web design cheshire
- website design cheshire
- cheshire website designer
